"My friends"

My sis and her hubby went to Las Vegas for their anniversary and my mother and I had the lucky privilege of watching their 3 girls. I say privilege because I feel like for me I never look forward to watching anyones kids, but it usually turns out to be a good time. This was no exception.
We started off the weekend with a 7 AM ride to the airport to drop of the parentals with the two older girls bright eyed and bushy tailed, as for me I think the last time I was up that early was the day after Thanksgiving last year. I'm not so much an early riser. I man handled the troops (meaning their 3 my 1) for half the day BY MYSELF, while my mother worked. I was very proud. I made them all lunch, managed to keep the house clean and I was a very nice mother if I do say so myself. Gave me courage that if 4 ever showed up my way I could handle.
When Grandma came home it was off to see the ducks, and rats, my personal favorites, and get some dinner.

Ko as always was more interested in driving his truck along the metal slab and putting it inside the "garage", some sort of tube.

After the ducks and dinner it was time to get ready for Sunday. So we went ahead with "rub a dub dub 4 kids in the tub." but only for a few, once Libs had gone down a time or two we called it quits for her.

Claire was the next to get out. Ko and Whitters had a great time laying down saying they couldn't hear and then cracking up when I told them to cover their privates for a pic.

This was the exciting event for the weekend, everyone needed a bike and needed to circle the island! Good times!

And for this fun filled extended weekend I in return got some scrum WHITE chocolate covered pretzels! YUM! White chocolate = the way to Alesha's heart!♥ Good work Sis.

Cute things Koen said about "my friends" (which is what he always called them)
-"Mom where Claire Bear? I need Claire Bear come say "good job Ko Ko" while I go pee pee" You better believed those girls cheered him on, they got a "special treat" everytime he went too!
-Every morning he'd say "I need go see my friends: Whitters, Claire Bear, and Liffy"
-the other night he said " Nae Nae and uncle Bryan came and took my friends away." So sad.

Life

I was thinking the other day that I dont post near as often living here as I did when I lived in Erie. I thought "self you must be busier" then I realized "self you have a lot less to blog about" sad. :/ Anywho we are now adjusting well and I feel like when people ask me if we are happy to be home, at this point I can say yes. Where for a while I wasn't so sure! It helps that it is snowing in Erie, and my BF from there, Laura, is here. Ya know, helps. Ü Plus we have been able to spend tons of time with the fam.
Things are good, however WORK is a big adjustment. Phil and I are use to seeing each other a TON more. When he was in school he mostly studied at home and was around a lot. Now he works 40 hours for his rotation with an extra 22 at Harmons to make some doe. It is definitely an adjustment. I feel bad for him cause at the end of the day I am tired and I haven't been on my feet working all day! He is exhausted. He has been falling asleep while we watching movie! ONLY I DO THAT! He is working his little buns off and I love him for it. He has been desiring Leatherbys lately, which is not a terrible thing ;). I think we have been like 5 times since we have been home. I guess that doesn't compare to my weekly Cafe Rio trips, for some reason I really need it that much.
We went and had Tracy Peanut Butter Cup a night or two ago, and some chocolate Milk for the K man!Since we have been back Ko has been enjoying some serious Grandma and Grandpa Lovell time. Every morning he wakes up and says " I need go see Grandma. " He doesnt quite understand why she has to work somedays. I too have enjoyed being so close with the hours Phil works it gives me time to spend with my parents.

The leaves here are pretty all though not really comparable to years past in Erie. But these were falling on the ground by our car, so I made Ko sit on down for a photo opp!

Tessy came for a visit and trust me that she is all I have heard about for the last week or so. All last week it was "Mom Tessy come on Saturday" Then since Claire and Whitters left it has been "I need see Tessy." So he called up laura and said "Hey Yara, can you bring Tessy over my house to play" So cute. They are little Bf's, and followed eachother all over the house.

So that life in our house. I am still trying to get use to not having all my friends live so close and be at my beck and call but it is getting better. I'm so not good at staying home, OR going places by myself, everything's better with a friend RIGHT?
PS Why do my legs itch so bad? They are driving me nuts!
PSS does anyone else feel in that UGG start of fall look. I keep looking at pics thinking, oh dear white and oh dear hair. I think this happens every year when the tan fades away. Time for a good hair do!
PSSS Twilight TOMORROW! Can anyone believe it? SO EXCITED! I am only mad that I didnt get through the book one more time before! I really wanted it to be fresh! So unless I pound it out tonight....probably not!

Koey loves the snowie

First being Thanksgiving time I thought I would start out with something I am grateful for: FENCED BACKYARDS! Thank goodness for them. I seriously cant imagine life without being able to send my child out and not have to watch his every move, trust me he wants to be out there ALL THE TIME.
The other day with our little snow storm was no exception. So we slapped on his snow clothes, which sadly do not match at all, and his too small boots from last year and he was one happy camper. So random but Koen calls snow "snowie" all the time, I never could quite figure it out as I am one who tries adamantly not to add the "ie" to things. Then I realized that day when he said "look mom grandpas van's all snowie" AND I DO say things are snowie, he just doesnt get when it needs to be just snow. Silly kid.

He wanted to ride his bikes around with the snow on them.

So he had a great time until he took his gloves off and frolicked in the snow gloveless and came in literally screaming bloody murder. Poor kid. He kept saying he needed medicine, umm...I dont think thats really gonna help with your problem. haha

Fall Festivities...covering two weeks

The last few weeks we did some fun activities worth posting about....

Ward Primary Halloween Activity:
In our ward in Erie they always did the Trunk or Treat, for all ward members, which is always a good time, but our ward here just does a activity for the primary put on by the YM/YW. It was really fun this year. They had different stations with different games, and made trick or treat bags, and then after they went trick or treating around to the classrooms.

Lehi Legacy Center Pool:
K and I joined some friends at a mini Splash Lagoon(for my Erie friends, and I mean mini in price too...$5) We hadn't been swimming in a pool FOREVER since we mostly utilized the beach over the summer, so it was really fun.

Witched Night Out:
Can you seriously not have a good time when it is just the girls and no kids...I think NOT! We had fun jammin out to the music, eating snacks, and chatting. Good times.

Boo at the Zoo:

Fun to get out and use the costume, but a huge let down after Erie's. SO SO SO crowded, not good candy, and NOT fun. I mean seriously does Utah not have like the most kids out of all the states and they choose to do ONE day of Boo at the Zoo? In Erie it is for like 2 weeks every night...get with it Hogle. I seriously don't want to vote for renew the zoo unless they "renew" BOO AT THE ZOO too! O well you live and learn huh?

Wow...not cute, I already enjoyed seeing those prizes on my sister in laws blogs.

Halloween Party at Grandma and Grandpa's:
What beats the fam, food and dressing up? Not much. The party at Phil's grandparents was a hit. Almost all of our clan dressed up which is always fun.

Friends Halloween Party:
Thanks for hosting this bash E and Stac...definitely a fun party! I love Halloween and any excuse to dress up and hang out with friends.
The whole clan. I obviously need some thicker leggings, or need to not be stretching the current ones like that...how embarrassing! Looks like I should have opted for the back! ;)

Halloween Day:
Stac, Eric, Mind and I took the kids to a fun "bounce house" type place. I felt like we at least needed to do something remotely fun during the day.

At 1st all Ava and K wanted to do was ride this train...I was like "maybe we should have gone to chuck-e-cheese."

Then Eric started making Ava go with him and they got into it.

K loved the slide of course but there was an obstacle course he could do all by himself, he went through it about 100 times. The best part was there was only like 5 other people there.

Gotta love ridin the dragon/dinosaur...who knows?

Halloween Night:
After the bounce house K and I came home and took a nap. When we woke up it was time to get dressed up. Phil took him and Koda trick or treating while I stayed home and passed out some candy.
