Poor Koen has been getting a bloody nose about once a week. He is his Fathers soon, to this day I have never had a bloody nose. This is what I woke up to this morning. Just incase you were wondering, it was all over his bed and his carpet too. Good thing we went with the expensive stuff so our kids could barf and bleed all over it. Awesome.

Happy New Year
For New Years we decided to throw our own little party! It was kinda last minute but we ended up having a good turnout. We just played the wii, chatted, ate some treats and hung out. I realized at the party how glad I am to have our playroom and unfinished basement. We had roughly 8 kids there and I hardly saw them. They played in the play room, rode bikes in the basement, and watched a movie in the playroom. It was fabulous, I am loving my home. ;)

Good work Buddy!
We started doing a sticker chart with Koen about 3 months or so ago. He gets allowance for the stickers he gets on his chart at the end of each week. He has been saving his money for a while now for a bike. He was able to use that money along with the money he got for Christmas from Nana Joan and Grandpa and Grandma and Grandpa Olsen to get it last week.
It is so nice to have the unfinished basement for him to ride around down there!
Thanks to both of Phil's Grandparents for helping this little one get his bike! He loves it!

The Magic of Christmas Day
Christmas morning was kinda special being in our new home and thinking of all the Christmas' to come in this same home, as our family grows.
I woke up at about 8:30 to Koen yelling from his room "Mom, Mom...MOM"
I went in and had the following conversation...
Mom: "Koen what are you doing?"
Koen: "I was wondering if it was time to get up"
Mom: "Well why didn't you just come in my room like you usually do?"
Koen: "I thought it might not be time to wake up yet"
Mom: "Well it is!!!"
Silly kid. He never does that. He imediately tried to go down stairs and couldn't wait to see if Santa had eaten the cookies and brought him something. When we got down stairs he looked at the plate to see Santa had eaten the cookies and then asked where Santa would have left his present.

On the stairs...all alone, sad.
Love his little face
What did Santa give him....The remote control car, he delivered.
Do you think it is sad we didn't even wake Brigs up for the festivites. That is the anal mom in me. He doesn't care and would much rather be sleeping so I let him enjoy Christmas the way he would want. ;) (literally most of the day) When he woke up Koen helped him open his presents.
Love them
Gotta try out the new toys...Brigs style.
After a yummy breakfast of Blueberry muffins(Koen's fav) and eggs we headed to Phil's parents house for the day. Literally THE WHOLE day, we got home at 10 PM. It was fun to spend time with his fam, open presents, play wii, chat and stare at my new little niece Mckall. I was sad I didn't hold her, but I had a sore throat, otherwise I would have been smooching her face off.

Ko with some of the goods
Sweet little kade...sad, mad or tired?
Why am I so greasy? I am still unsure of what to attribute this awesomeness to. Umm Brigs is to die for.
I literally never dress my boys the same, but they were super cute on Christmas!
Nate, Kade, Matt, Kate, and Tanna
Grandpa, Paigey, Bevs and Nana
Those are some handsome boys!
Brady, Brit, Baby Mckall, Mindy(looking fab, 3 days after birth! WHOA) Dust
Love love the little girly bundle! YES PLEASE.
Iss, Miss, and Chris
Me, Marissa and Gina
Hype-n up one of Bevs new toys. I love that little girly.
I had a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit with the move and school, and then it seemed to be here and gone. I wish it could have lasted a little longer. Koen was such a fun age this year, really excited about everything we did and all the fun toys he got. It gets more fun each year, I look forward to having more kids to share in the Christmas spirit. They really do make Christmas so magical again!
