It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I don't remember a Christmas looking so Christmasy in a LONG time! Needless to say I was thrilled when it snowed all day on Christmas Eve. I LOVE snow for Christmas!

We had Grandma and Grandpa Lovell sleep at our house for Christmas this year and boy was that fun. Sometimes our little family just seems too small still. I loved having them here to spend it with us. Plus it gave us {LOTS} more presents to watch be opened! haha

All ready for the kiddos to come down!!!
And then the opening began....

Apparently since Koen's stocking was on the other side I didn't get pics of him opening. This is also the only kind of pictures I have of Phil and I. awesome. Both boys got their hearts desires from Santa...a dream light dog for Brigs and glow up legos for Koen.

Then we opened the big box....

I was really hoping for a screaming excitement when they opened it which did not happen {do boys do this?} but they talked about it for the rest of the day and are really excited. It will be a fun time.
Koen keeps asking where I put all the toys he got for Christmas, I have to keep reminding him he didn't get really any! haha We really just gave them the cruise and a few presents which were mostly books, games and movies.

Koen sure had fun helping Grandpa open all his presents, good thing he doesn't mind. ;) When all the opening was over we had a yummy breakfast. Then the kiddos played while we had a nice visit with my parents. After they left we cleaned up a bit, napped {Phil}, shoveled the walk {me...do you know I love shoveling?} and played {kiddos} Then we headed off to Phil's parent's for the rest of the day.

I managed to take very few photos while at the Olsen's but we did have a great time.
Brigs is having a hard time opening his gift...haha
Marissa had Koen and gave him lots of cool homemade Harry Potter stuff, he loved it and made the exact same stuff for her the next day. :)
The boys{minus my littles...weird} and the girls. Love this family!

It was kinda nice that we got home at 7. After 3 FULL and FUN days we were all beat and ready to hit the sack! Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve

We decided to continue on with our own little tradition of 2 of my BF's families getting together. As a kid we use to get together with my mom and dad's best friends family and I remember always looking forward to it. It was so fun. I think it will be fun for my kids to have the same.

This year I had it at my house and my mom and dad came too. We also had Stacie's mom and sister. We decided to do yummy soups this year and had 4 to choose from! Of course we had a delicious dessert spread too including peppermint brownies from Kneaders....OH. MY. YUM! serious. so so good.

Phil lead the kiddos in watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. Even gave a narrative, just to make sure they were getting it. ;) too cute.
The kids had fun making a snowman craft and playing bingo.

The adults spent there time grazing, chatting and entertaining the kiddos!

Then we let the kiddos open their presents from each other and one from us....jammies!

Up next...cookie making for Santa!!!
Then after we said farewell to our friends we left our own cookies out for Santa{carrots for the reindeer} and rolled around on the ground in pure dillerium(did I make that word  up? I like it.)

I think Santa would like more frosting next year...;)

Lovell Christmas

Christmas Eve Eve we had our Lovell Christmas party. It is definitely something we all look forward to. Literally JAM PACKED with fun and entertainment. We always start off with Hawaiian haystacks for dinner and my dad's famous drawing. It comes with all sorts of cool things for everyone to pick from. This year we made it out with 2 gift certificates to Cafe Rio, a movie gift card, and flashlight for Mr B.

We always make trains and or gingerbread houses. This year Brigs and I opted for a train, a smidge easier. He loved eating the snow and kept telling me it needed more snow.

Koen worked solo on his own train masterpiece.
The kids played some pictionary with Christmas songs and then we sang a few and played a few with the bells.

Shortly there after we all heard some jingling....who else could it be but Santa! What a pleasant surprise!
One last chance to let the old man know what they wanted and he brought each of them a special move and some treats!
Then it was presents time!!! Koen loved his hulk stuff Grandma and Grandpa gave him and Brigs LOVES his books. {after he realized they were his favorite kind} And us parentals are very excited to be seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Hale Center{a serious favorite of mine!} and Le Mis at Pioneer Theatre! What fun date nights with the fam!

Ky even enjoyed Ko's Hulk stuff as much as he did! :)
Of course all the grandkids got new jammies....
Thanks so much mom and dad for hosting this and getting us all together. It was such a great time!
