Fam Cruise 2015 Day 1-4

When I saw Norwegian's kids sail free last summer I was all over it! We have done Disney and I wanted to try the nickelodeon thing and see if it compared. Luckily for us, I talked {didn't need to} Wynde and {mostly} Greg into coming with us.

Thursday Jan 15th- Florida bound
The kids were uber excited to be heading out to our fun family cruise! The plane ride was a great start. They both enjoyed mucho hot cocoa, movies and games. :)

Surprisingly Neither Phil or I had been to Miami. This first night we didn't get in until after midnight and were flying into Fort Lauderdale so we decided to just hit a cheap hotel that night since it was so late. Can we say bad idea???!?! We strolled in with 2 kids in tow, at about 12:45 AM. There was a line of at least 8 people checking in. All 8 where some what scary. We debated over the hour we waited to check in what to do, called other hotels (that were all booked) and then finally ended up staying there. I was slightly {HUGE understatement} scared for my life but we survived {luckily}

Friday Jan 16th- Miami bound
We very gratefully woke up alive and started our trip down to Miami. The Wrights had an earlier flight the day before and so they were already there. We were very pleasantly surprised with our hotel. We didn't realize when booking a cruise out of Miami how very expensive it was to stay there. We had this ocean front hotel that was fabulous!
We headed straight to the pool/beach. It wasn't nearly as warm as we hoped for but coming from where we had it was heaven! The kids didn't even mind and were swimming like fishes!

Saturday Jan 17th- Eastern Caribbean bound
We were pretty excited to get on and check out our boat! It was in its inaugural year of sailing and looked pretty sweet! We got on right about lunch time and spent the day checking things out!

 Honestly, I feel like we should go back on the exact same boat again! I didn't get to do half of what I wanted to! Like that ropes course there! Didn't even try it. Such a cool boat!

Sunday Jan 18th- sea day
Our first day at sea we spent a little time at the gym, a little at the pool, a little at the kids club and a lot at the buffet. ;) We got the chance to meet some of the characters from sponge bob which was pretty exciting!

That night we had dinner at The Illusionarium. It was like dinner and a magic show. It was a lot of fun.

 Monday Jan 19th- sea day
First thing in the morning Brigs and I went to watch the 3 truths and lie Nick game on deck. Lucky Greg and children were chosen to participate! What better way to start the day then a few pies in the face?!?
The adults enjoyed laying out pool side while the children found shade in whatever ways possible to play Ipads when the water slides became boring. #firstworldproblems

 This was the beloved day I realized the soft serve ice cream place offered pistachio...nut free!!! Ahhhhhh, glorious. I made my own spamoni everyday they had it!

 This afternoon they had Nick craft time. The kids got to decorate bags to carry their stuff around in port. Fun!

Us adults wanted to hit the comedy club this night and so we needed the kiddos to hit the kids club. Brigs tiredness was getting to him and he didn't want to go. He was having a hard time making decisions {soooo abnormal, said no one ever} and I will forever crack up about Ladybug. She was a worker in the camp and in her Russian accent saying "Brigs stop crying and give me a hug!!" so dang funny. He could never decide he wanted to go in but when we'd go to pick him up he never wanted to leave. Funny kid. Phil and I alo saw Burn the Floor this night. It was a dance show with crazy awesome ballroom dancing. Made me want to get up and shake it myself!
