New Years Rockin Eve!

Well our New Year's ended up being rather low key. Koen had been throwing up Thursday night and so we figured it wasn't a great idea to have a bunch of people over or go anywhere. So we planned on being all alone, just the 4 of us. Then Steve got sick so the Brown's were no longer going anywhere. I decided to see what Bert and Brady were up to as well seeing how they dont have kiddos who would come over and get sick(just Brady;) So they came too. I lysoled the house down and we were set! We started out with some takeout and a little Wii for the big boys.

At 7 we rang in the new year with the tiny tots! Brigs kept saying "carey" apparently things were a little too scary for him. :) He lasted about 1 minute and then went to the doorway!

The kids loved these blowers, especially in Koda's face for maximum enjoyment. :)

After we got the kiddos to bed we played a little tetris party, Likewise, What's yours like and Scategories. We rang in the New Year as the ball dropped with some sparkling cider. Low key and just great. :)

This year has definitely been an interesting one. I am pretty sure New Year's Eve last year I would have NEVER in a MILLION years imagined my life to be where it is now. I think I wont even try to imagine where it will be 1 year from now, it kinds stresses me out. ;) haha but really. For now we will just take it one day at a time and try to enjoy it as it comes.

Holly Jolly Christmas

Koen woke up at 8:30 Christmas morning and our church was at 9. I am glad we only had 15 minutes of persuading him to stay upstairs, that was LONG enough! :) We had to wake Brigs up for church, my kids are awesome...haha. As I stated before, we lasted at church till the Sacrament was passed. We got home about 9:30 and the fun began.

Christmas gets better and better every year. The older the kids are the more they understand and the more excited they are. Koen asked for these things: Wuggle Pet, Happy Napper, Pocket Pillow and the Spy Car VX6. My little infomercial jumkie! haha gotta love Qubo! Well Santa brought 2 of the 4. I refused to spend $70 on a remote control car that can "see through walls" because I knew it would be broken in days and there would be more disappointment then(from Koen and ME) than if it wasn't here Christmas morning. (I was right, he still hasn't said anything about it)  Cute Brigs asked Santa for "Treats." I literally think that is all I should have got him, he was so happy with his baby bottle sucker everything else was just ok. haha I ended up getting him the same things as Ko. He wants everything Ko has.

While we opened present I had a yummy breakfast casserole and orange rolls cooking in the oven. It was done just as we finished, PERFECT! After we ate the boys played some Wii with their new games and we rode around on the new wiggle cars! Phil said he thinks I bought those for me! haha I was lovin it! Koda so loved his new Angry Birds toy!

We headed over to Phil's parents at 1 to spend the rest of the day there. First we did the Nativity.

We played bingo, twister, had a drawing(like my daddi-o's), kids played a number game with prizes, twister, opened presents, watched Rio, ate and chatted away. It was so fun as usual. Phil's parent's also did the "candy bar" game but with gift cards to various places and that was SO fun! We had a great day and were def tuckered out when we came home! Good thing there is always tomorrow for playing with new toys!

Merry Christmas!

The Night Before Christmas

My family use to always do our party on Christmas Eve but with my sister's kiddos getting older and more numerous it makes it especially hard for her to haul her whole Christmas here. So for the past 3 years we have been on a wim with our Christmas Eve plans. This year it turned out that the Brown's were as well. Great, we will do Christmas Eve together, and so we started a little planning. Then Stacie mentioned that they also didn't have plans, even better. So we had a quaint little Christmas Eve with our 3 families.

We had dinner(yummy enchiladas and sides) and then the girls and kids all did Christmas glitter tattoos while the dad's chatted. I love Brigs and Amelia working hard on their tattoos together. :)

Of course we had to open some Christmas Eve jammies and we let each of the kiddos open one other present.
Stacie brought cookies and all the goodies for the kiddos to decorate for Santa. Yum yum, I bet Santa loved them. ;)

Had to get one last pic of the kids in....totally worth it don't you think.....
 HAHA, totally. :)
Then the Visser's were off to wait for Santa. I snapped a few pics of the kiddos after(my boys love each other so) and a pic of Lo and I, who wasn't feeling very good. Oh, and we needed Tess in it, we are the only girls, we have to stick together. ;)

I had to get a pic of Phil and Steve. Both Laura and Steve have clothes that Phil calls their "eternity clothes." I guess it is what he pictures them in in the eternitys, haha because they love them. So, they got Phil matching ones to Steves....TOO funny! They also gave us some Pierce memorabilia. I will add that to a post I am working on.
We headed home to put Santa's cookies out(which Brigs may or may not have taken a bite out of), the magic dust that lets Santa know where you live and reindeer food. Then it was off to bed to wait for Santa. :)
