Christmas Eve-low key

This year Christmas Eve was really low key. We stayed at our house and had my parents over. I made a roast with potatoes and carrots and rolls & my mom brought a salad. We ate and then we played a couple games with Koen(Uno Moo, and Cars matching) Then we roasted smores with our smore maker.

Koen thought it was really funny to close his eyes...haha not...lol

Then we decided to bust out the wii fit for some fun! It was a good laugh and a great time!

Koen loved watching Grandpa. We all took a turn, even my mom. She was kickin our butts at one of the games.

Koen was so tired from the time we finished dinner, so we got him ready for bed at 8ish. He made sure to leave Santa some cookies and milk. He thought Santa needed 4 even though I explained to him that ALL the kids leave Santa cookies and he didn't need that many. He also told me he was sure Santa would like chocolate milk better.

Koen loves to pretend he is a car. So when I took him up to bed he ran in the bathroom, and "gased up" behind the shower curtain. When he came out he said "those guys gave me gas AND OIL, Santa will for sure see them tonight" I love his imagination.
Then Ko and I read his little book about Jesus' birth. I asked him what was gonna come next in the story and he said "Jesus is gonna get born. Does Mary have a big owie like you?" (gotta love that c-section scar. )Little cutie.
I had to wake Brigs up, he pretty much slept through the festivities, to change him into his jammies and he was sooo sad. I love his sad face.
My dad was super tired so they left soon after I put Koen down. After I got Brigs to bed Phil and I watched Beyond a Reasonable Doubt while I worked away....Santa style. Filling stockings, unwrapping, assembling toys and putting in batteries kept me busy!

Thanks for coming over mom and dad it was a fun night with you two!

I did not do a very good job taking pics on Christmas morning, but I will post what I got when I get some pics from Phil's parents house that day.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!!!

Big boy!!! milestones

Brigs decided on Christmas Eve that he is big and can roll over with no problem and that he can sit by himself.

He was rolling from back to belly but only about once every couple weeks or so, now as soon as I lay him down he is rolling over, seeing what he can find. I also find him on his belly nearly every time I get him out of bed. Silly boy.
He was sitting well but not where I felt comfortable to leave him, literally all the sudden he is just so sturdy. He is even transitioning (not necessarily gracefully) from sitting to his belly. I love it! He sits all day long now and just seems so big! He reaches to the sides and forward to get anything he can find!
PS I swear B owns more than the yellow jammies pictured above and below and like 5 other times. lol

hmmm...must be good

Both of my kids seem to find the elephants ear pretty tasty...maybe I should try.

I kinda think Brigs is getting a little different look....what about you?

First floor!

I'm gonna have to take this in floors...so here is the main floor. Please keep in mind, picture are hard, we are not fully decorated and I would love it if you all came and saw it in person!!!
What you see when you walk in, living room to the left, the stairs to go up, door to go down and then family room
Our living room, we have a huge mirror to hang on that big bare wall but we can not hang it by ourselves...someone come over. lol
Family room

Kitchen
If you were following the tile around from the front door this is what you see. Off to the right is the door to the garage and the 1/2 bath, neither of which I took any pics.

One of my fav parts, the pantry. It even has a side to the right. We've never had a pantry, let alone a HUGE one. I need some organization tips!
main floor room, AKA Guest bed AKA play room. It literally has nothing in here BUT toys. works for the kiddos I suppose. We'd like to get a couch or futon or something and then something to put the TV on.
What you see when you walk through the door...bed to left bath to right
Full bath attached to guest bed

ENJOY! I'll try to get some of the not a pic hung yet upstairs soon!

Fun pics!

This is a common thing now that we live a little father away from both of our parents. This night I was bringing home my sisters little girl to sleep at my house and when I got home all 3 were out like lights!....hmmm what to do??? I guess I'll take a pic while I think about it.

Koen got these new blocks from my mom for Christmas(we celebrated early) He loves them, and I secretly like them too! ;)

It is so fun being close to some of our BF's again! Since we moved we live within minutes of Steve and Laura. Koen and Tess have loved rekindling their little friendship! I took this so cute pic of them today!

Gotta love it!

Gotta love pics of a babe eating his first foods...too cute!

Brigs first ate oatmeal cereal at 5 months 2 1/2 weeks (12/5)

He ate green beans yesterday 12/22 and a biter biscuit 12/21.

Now we are off....I will go gung hoe from here! haha I pretty much don't like feeding babies...it is messy, more time consuming and not really that fun. but alas he is doing better at it and loves it, so I will! ;) Besides he is so so cute doing it.

It may have also contributed to the last two nights of 12 hours straight sleeping. He usually sleeps 9, wakes up poopy, eats and goes back down for 3 more. But I think the solids are making him not so loose in the bowel area and allowing him to not do such in the night. I woke up soaking wet this morning...fun. I actually love feeding him in the wee hours. He is so cute a cuddly, I love it.

I love this face. first tries.
Is it Koen's first time too? One may think from his face.
I love that he looks totally nakee in this pic. Nope just chub!
Soooo good!

PS I wish I could freeze Brigs right now. I think I love 6 months. He is so cute, smiley, mostly happy, immobile, sleeps lots, and so smoochable. Please stop growing.

PSS and if you must...I must have another. lol. My sis in law Mindy had her baby yesterday...two words BABY HUNGRY. Phil said "Are you serious?" I was like "Hello, it is a WAY small baby and a GIRL, come on" I find there is a large difference between baby hunger and actually wanting a baby in current situations. The baby things sounds not too bad, but with another baby and another kid, not so much. For now however, I still have my own big baby, and I will just continue to smooch him.

Temple Square Lights

Last week on one of Phil's days off we headed down town to one of our FAV restaurants (Mi La Cai) and to the temple to see the lights. Our kids where both on there last legs when we got to the lights, B was screaming his face off and K whining like crazy! I was thinking, maybe this is something we should do when our kids get a little bigger. But soon after we got there Phil got Brigs to fall asleep and gave Koen one last warning and it ended up being a pretty good night!

Serious, how do you decide which one to post...hilarious

Koen's favorite part was definitely the fountains.
Had to have an onlooker snap a pic of the fam, good thing the stroller is in it! lol
Awe...too bad this only lasted moments....good thing we didn't stay long

We are FAMILY

I have waited to post these until most of you got my christmas card....I hope that has happened now, except for the few stragglers I have up stairs...working on it!

Britney B Photography took this for me the day after Thanksgiving. I love them. We did a mini session which was perfect for the weather and the kids. In and out in less than a half hour. Phil even said "well that was relatively painless" It was AND we got good pics, cant beat that!

Shorty 6 Month

6 months has flown on by and yesterday my baby had his 1/2 b-day. He went to the doc today and here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 1 oz 23%
Height: 24 3/4 inches 4%
Head: 16.9 inches 29%

So know you see why the post is called short six month. Everytime Brigs has a Doc appt I go in with the hope that he will be out of the single digits, only to be disappointed. haha not really disappointed by surprised for sure. He went from 14% at birth to 6,3 to 4%. He can't get back in the double digits...maybe one day buddy!

Things about Brigs:

*started him on cereal last week! He loves it. He opens really wide and DOWNS it
*wants to eat everything in sight, I pretty much let him try it all...is that bad?
*started drinking water from a sippy a couple of weeks ago
*can roll belly to back easily but still struggle with back to belly
*starting to sit well, definitely not ok to be left alone though
*still temperamental....all ducks in a row = HAPPY 1 out of line = MAD BOY
*not temperamental at all if you hold him, talk to him all day, he is fed, slept, bum clean AND dry, no loud noise....etc etc etc ;) you get the point on the ducks?
*smiles his face off when you talk to him
*taking better naps (still 3-4, if we are home for them, he WONT sleep anywhere else)
*thinks Koen is hilarious, and laughs at everything he does
*is so cute, I smooch his face all day!

Tanna also took pics of Brigs a couple of weeks ago, yes she is my personal photographer! haha I love it!

this is the only pic you are gonna get of my house..haha nice hallway right?
The ears...they are awesome

Love his chubba legs

This one is my fav
the rolls, and the face, what is not to love?
LOVEAGE!
