I had the big ultrasound yesterday. It was fun to see the little man playing around in there. He is indeed still a boy and a very healthy looking one at that. It is always relieving to have that ultrasound and know things are looking right and good. Here are a few pics of Baby P. Some are from when we went to Fetal Studios. He got better "it's a boy" shots.
I love this one because you can see all his little fingers and thumb up by his face.
As for me and this pregnancy it has been less than my favorite. ;) Everything has been intensified. I don't know if thats because it is number 3( or 5 if you count miscarriages) or what but I was nauseous everyday for the whole first trimester + some and even threw up. So not the case with either of the others. Then I went straight to heartburn! It is the worst. I had it terrible with Koen and only a handful of times with Brigs. Luckily it only lasted a week and I haven't had it regularly since. phew. I have also been exhausted, I thought that left in the 2nd trimester?!
Things are on the up now. Although still feeling tired I am starting to get out of the "chubby" phase and starting to feel good most of the time. Still stressing a little about my current baby still being a baby when the "new baby" comes. Whether to keep him in a crib, move him to a bed, hoping he learns to talk(lessening the current screaming), decides he doesn't want to be lugged around all day etc.
Which reminds me I also decided having kids closer together is not for me. ;) So far for the sole reason of lugging B around with my growing belly is just really uncomfortable. So is bending over at church to 1-get him stuff out of my bag (14 times) 2- pull him out from under the bench. lol Also going up the stairs while carrying him about does me in for the day. You'd think I'd just ran a half with the way my heart is pounding and how out of breath I am. oh the joys!
I have been feeling movement for about 3 weeks. He isn't as wild as my others were...yet. I hardly notice him until the evening, maybe I'm just preoccupied. :) I had Phil take this picture of me two weeks ago after church. It is the only one I have taken so far. I had to move my scarf so you could see "the bump" I should have moved it back for the pic with Koen. eek :)
PS I have gained 3 lbs so far and I think they have all gone straight to my face. How pleasant.
