Sledding:Ko loves sledding, as long as he can go with someone. If you tell him to go by himself he says "No, I fall off" A few weeks before Christmas Phil and I bought a sled at target. We had parked a little ways away and so Koen got his first ride on the sled....to the car. He thought it was great, and wanted Phil to pull him all over the yard when we got home.

A few days before Christmas Phil and some of his siblings took the kids sledding. I wasn't there to witness, but I heard they all had a great time.

MissionGina, my sister in law/best friend since I was 7, and her husband Nate, and Koen's best little friend Kade where in town for Christmas. While they were here her cute little brother left on his mission. Lets just say he is pretty much the only little brother I had(besides my invisible one, which is a whole other story) and that I love her family like my own. He is going to be so great and I am so proud of the example he is setting for little Koen and Kade. When I told Koen Blake was going on a mission he said "A mission just like rocket?" Rocket on little Einsteins goes on "missions" and Koen thought it was really cool that Blake gets to go too. Koen says cute stuff like "I'm gonna go on a mission like Blake" cute.

Koen and Kade timeI love having Nate and Gina here. I get my best friend, and Phil and Koen gets theirs. What a win win situation. We loved hanging out with them while they were here, and cant wait till they move home. It is so cute to watch Ko and Kade talk and interact with eachother now that they are older. I love it.

Potty TrainingLets just say I was REALLY scared to start potty training and REALLY dreading it. We tried for a total of maybe 4 hours in June and it was pretty much the worst 4 hours ever. Koen has been peeing on the potty 3+ times a day for the last 2 months so I kept telling myself I would start after Christmas, before school started. I figure he is as ready as he'll ever be without saying "mom I don't want to wear diapers anymore" and who knows when that will happen. So he has been doing really well, we haven't had any #1 accidents since Thursday of last week. #2 was a bit more of a struggle but I think 2 and 2 have clicked and he has been doing great the last few days! All with the help of the potty watch(love), a big digger and some Cars cars.

Playing on the floor with his new cars. I insisted on him wearing this "protection" over his underwear for the first few days, I did not want to be scrubbing pee off the carpet.

Ko with his prizes. At first we did a hershey kiss and the sticker chart for going potty and when the chart got full he got a Cars car. The big digger was for the first time he pooped on the potty. About 5 days in he was peeing on the potty all the time and not caring about the sticker chart or a "special treat"anymore so now he gets a new Cars car everytime he poops on the potty, until it isnt a struggle anymore. GOOD JOB KOEN! He also got those awesome Diego socks, and plenty of character underwear while trying to get him to poo on the potty for the first time!
SchoolWell school started for me yesterday. A few have inquired so here are the details...I am taking Anatomy+lab, and Chemistry+lab. I am hoping this wont be too much with my personal tutor/brainiac husband! I am hoping to apply to SLCC's Dental Hygiene program after Fall semester.(I am taking summer off, to birth a babyÜ) I kind of feel like I go a lot, every night but Thursday and MWF in the afternoons, but I think it will be a nice break, and will get the blood flowing to the brain again! Ü Wish me luck!
