Weekly round up!

Or maybe a little more than a week....here is what has been going on...

*Salt to Saint
Phil rode in the Salt to Saint bike ride last weekend. I was also going to do it but decided to let one of their other buddies have my spot, we leave our kiddos too much. :)

He had a great time and said he would love to do it again. They rode from the Capital in down town Salt Lake to Saint George in just over/under 24 hrs. It is basically like Ragnar on bikes. Someone on your team is always riding while others are resting, driving or preparing to drive. They all had a great time until poor Jace crashed on his bike (going 44 mph) 1/4 mile before the finish line.  Luckily he is totally ok just REALLY scrapped up.

*We have been playing soccer out the wahzoo. Seriously 4 days a week we are living at soccer. We have one more week to go so I better takes some pics while we are there!

*We finally got P a few fall things out. Just for a week or so then we will spook-if-i it all! :)

aren't you impressed that my 3 year old took this pics of me?

*Mother Son social
Koen's school had their annual mother son social last night. It was "out of this world." They had dancing and treats. It is always fun to just do things one on one. That is why I am so looking forward to the cruise. Darn picture of us as an alien is blurry!

*Koen went off track, yahoo! 3 weeks of hanging out, no waking up early if we don't want to, doing fun fall stuff and living it up! We are super excited!

 * 9 to 5
Today my sisters and mom and I went to see 9 to 5 at Hale theater. It was fun and a nice break. The music was great and has been stuck in my head all day. I also just love spending time with my family and what beats a good GNO? (or afternoon?)

*cousins came to stay! Nae and her kids slept at our house last night and spent the day today. We love spending time with them!

*Other than that we took the kiddos swimming at the rec center this week so I could try out my new scuba mask. We are planning to dive while we are on our cruise. Wish me luck. :) And yes we looked like fools....grown adults with masks on in 4 ft deep water....lol

Harmons 1/2 marathon

A while back Harmons announced that they would be doing a 1/2, 10k and 5k for the employees and family. A way of getting their people active and healthy. With it being right after Disney I figured that was perfect. I was already trained and could try for a real time. It was a nice flat course and about 5 of the miles where the same as the Race for Grief course. It was nice and cool for most of the race and I felt great the whole time. I was happy with my time of 1:46 which is 8:09/mile.
Getting the pre-race run down then we were off
Do you like that strong finish? haha the course was actually a little long (13.4) so I wasn't in the mood to sprint it out. ;) my total time for the 13.4 was 1:48:45(8:07/m so I picked it up a little. :)

After the race Jace asked a lady to take a picture of us pharmacy people. The lady he asked was older and obviously had no idea how to use his phone, these are the pics we got! LOL we seriously laughed and laughed. Yes, all 5 of us are supposed to be in these.

We then asked another person and got a good one with all 5 of us in it. :)

The Color Run

I always think these color and mud runs look fun. And fun they are running they aren't so much. haha I mean we did run but a 5k is just pretty short. Laura and I were originally planning on doing it together but since she hurt her back I asked Kirst if she wanted to and she did! Yahoo! So we decided to make it more of a run and I met Kirst at her house and we ran from there to where the race started and then did the color run. They basically spray/throw chalk on you about every 1k. It is pretty cool cause it is like a cloud of color. It was really silly. I probably wouldn't do it again, but it was fun for once. :) Well, maybe if Koen wanted to I would. :) I think it would be super fun for kids.

Homecoming 2012

Before I left for Disneyland my SIL Mindy had mentioned that her two SIL's were performing in the Taylorsville High Alumni half time performance. It was for all past Cheer, Dance Co and Drill. I thought "Oh, that would be silly." I didn't think of it again until I got a text from Mindy while in Disney asking if I wanted to do it. Sure what they heck. Like I said, it would be silly.

It ended up being a lot of fun. We talked our other SIL Tanna into doing it too. So the 3 of us got together and learned the dance. They had a couple practices at the high school the week before but I wasn't able to make those. Therefor I wasn't in the stunts. {I probably should have performed with Dance Co instead, then I could have finished dancing instead of hiding behind the stunt haha}

The day of the game we practiced at 4 for about and hour and then some mom's of girls on this years squad prepared a banquet for all of us. It was so nice and really a lot of fun. Then came the big half time performance. My in laws where there, Mindy's fam, Tanna's Fam, Missy and Britton and Brady who picked up Koen from my mom's to come watch. (Phil was at work) It was really fun being out on the field again, just like the old days!

Go go get em get em GO GET EM T-VILLE!

 At the banquet
 My SIL'd Me, Mindy Tanna
Tanna, Me, Casey(Mindy's SIL and fam friend) Mindy
Me Mindy and Marcie! love her!

Disneyland Cont.

Wednesday September 5
This day we decided to get to the park early and boy did we spend the WHOLE day. When we got there we picked up Frank my nephew and took him with us for the day. We started the day in California Adventure so we could get fast passes for the new Cars ride. Brigs loved "Monsters Inc and wouldn't stop talking about the "witch" and how she says "Don't forget your paperwork." so cute.
We saw the Disney Junior show, and Brigs loved it. I was really cute. He loves Jake and the neverland pirates. We all had fun groovin with the Disney Jr characters.
On the way out and over to Disneyland we saw who else but Mickey mouse!
Koen really wanted to do Jedi training but it was cancelled because of weather so we went on Space Mtn and did the Cpt EO show. I thought it would be a total waste of time but turns out it only was for me ;) The kids loved it. After we hit up Autopia and saw Mary Poppins before we went to the next Jedi Training.

Jedi training was a huge success. We were able to get Koen in as a participant and he was all business. Brigs kept saying "it be my turn next?" He would have loved to do it but unfortunately doesn't follow direction quite good enough.

We had to hit up Small World on the way to Toone Town. It was more like "small nap" for me. Boy I was tired.

I of course had to get a Mickey soft pretzel, ummm I love soft pretzels with cheese. We used our fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers with my mom in the evening (such a fun ride) and then mom and I headed home to make dinner for everyone. We had everyone over in our little place for dinner and got to see Dillian and Marissa for the last time. They headed home to Oregon the next day.

Thursday September 6
We planned on using our early entrance into the park this day but then ended up doing California Adventure instead. Phil went to get in line for fast passes for the Cars ride again where he saw our friends the Frasers parents in line. We met up with all of them and did the fun/cool/scary Bugs life 4D movie. It really was neat. Brigs eyes were glued to the screen while he kept saying "I scared."

Then we decided to ride the rest of the rides we had missed so far and a few fava. We did Bugs life, Screamin, The Toy Story ride(love), swings, Goofy's flight school, and lots of continuous Little Mermaid for Brigs. We even saw Phineas and Ferb rock on by while we were eating lunch. I love Disneyland.

We headed back over to Cars land to ride our fav ride again and to see DJ's dance party. We met up with the Frasers there again. The boys were being a lil shy and wouldn't full on bust there moves. Lynds and I on the other hand had plenty of moves. :) Cars land is really just so cool. It is done so well and looks so real. I was WAY impressed.

We also got to meet a few more characters.

So happy to meet Jake even wearing his not cute Jake shirt I let him buy ONLY for Disneyland. :)
We watched the Pixar parade after and LOVED it. I so wish Brigs wouldn't have been asleep. Parades at Disney are just magical.

That night we went home and let the kids swim and had a pizza/pool party. Phil me and Brigs actually ended up ditching out and going to PF changs. Fun to go with just B. We of course had to end with cheesecake factory! I love cheesecake, totally my fav!

Friday September 7

We decided to go to the beach again this morning. It is just so relaxing especially where the park is not. :) The boys decided this time that they loved the waves and were a lot more daring!

When we got home we decided we would have a much more productive last night in Disney if we let the kids take a nap. So they both had a great nap and we hung out and ordered pizza. We got to the park just in time to see the parade.

We then hit up all the rides in Fantasy land before heading to Fantasmic. Holy wow that was Ah-maz-ing! Seriously likde it so much more than I thought I would and it was def one of my favorite things. My boys were thoroughly entertained the whole time. I thought a giant fire breathing dragon might be too much, but no, they are too tough! Thanks to my brother who waited hours for excellent seats as we showed up moments before start time. :) Hey, we brought popcorn. ;)

We stayed in the same place and watched the fireworks. We hit a last few rides, got some Dole whip and got kicked on out, an hour earlier than we thought it closed I might add. :(

Saturday September 8
We packed up ship, stopped by Target for some final souvenirs and were off to the airport. The flight was mostly uneventful and Grandma even got to sit with us. :) When we got home my dad even had dinner cooking for us. Needless to say we all had a great trip but were definitely beat!
