OK for this tag I guess I list everything in my purse! Luckily I had given a some what "clean out" from church already! So of course some wipes and a diaper. A little container of fish. My WIC checks and coupons(GHETTO). A pez dispenser, keys, and a toy truck. A nice wad of USED wipes from catching Koen's oatmeal he decided he didn't want and spit out at church yesterday. GROSS! Lip gloss, gum, a snack for me (Quaker things) and a pacifier for Ko(M&M's) Surprisingly a little cash! WAHOO! A grocery list with everything crossed off cause I went to the store today! Some pens, and TON of old receipts. Time to go through them. And lastly a little frog I couldn't resist getting for Koen for Easter. He really loves frogs right now! If you zoom in you can see the half chewed oatmeal and what I bought at the grocery store today! Ü

#1 When I was little I wanted 12 kids, one born in each month of the year. Later it turned to 10, cause I figured my husband and I could take a month. Now I think I am more so down to just having a few in months in a row. (we already have May June and July)
#2 As much as I love the beach, lake, and swimming the water totally freaks me out! I am mostly down for the sun tan that comes along with those! I like water as long as I can touch, otherwise I kind of freak out. I easily think I am going to drown. And I HATE HATE HATE being dunked.
#3 I am OBSESSED with cheese. (along with my whole family) For all about me in Young womens back in the day I totally brought a brick of cheese! I buy two bricks of cheese a week along with some shredded, string and sliced! YIKES! My fav snack is cheese and triscuits.
#4 Sometimes I cheer and dance around my house! Obviously I really love it. (sis I know you would love that) Sometimes I bust out the Eisenhower school song! Actions and all. I also tumble once a year just to make sure I can still do it!
#5 Koda sleeps with us everynight. And while Phil just moves him when he is in his way, I maneuver myself around him all night, instead of moving him. I usually sleep in a VERY small space on the bed because Phil takes up his half and half of mine and Koda takes up my whole end!
#6 I hate being continuously licked by dogs(Koda)EXCEPT I love when he licks my feet and in between my toes. I know gross and weird.
#7 When I was little I always wanted a little brother. So I had an invisible one. His name was Brennan, and he lived in our heater closet. This was when I was in 5-8 grade...I know.

Picture People...not so much!

Gina was getting Kade's pics taken this past weekend for Kades 2nd birthday we decided we would have one of him and Koen done again. Well that was an interesting thought...it was treacherous! The kids were off the walls and only really wanted to play behind the curtain, not in front. The lady helping us was totally flustered and not very nice about it. It took us like an hour to pick out what we wanted and by the time we walked out both kids were screaming bloody murder, we just smiled as everyone starred. SO FUN! Needless to say it will deffinetly take a year to want to do that again!






I thought I would through this one in from last year cause I think it is fun to compare how much their cute little selves have grown! Dont they have like the same looks on their face as last time?

Happy LATE Valentines!

Valentines this year was fun and festive. The night before valentines, Koen and I made some sugar cookies, this was Koens first experience with the beaters(Phil will kill me, he HATES raw eggs)Now he goes to the drawer and takes them out and licks them...My mom bought Koen a little Valentine present while she was here, and it has been sitting in the basement for a month wanting to come up! Koen was really pretty excited to open it! Of course he pulled out the candy first, then was really stoked about the Elmo book and Movie. That kid sure loves Elmo! I think we have watched it every day since.
We had Koen's little friend Jackson over while his mom was at her Dr appt. I was planning on taking them both to Max's Valentine party and she would meet us there. Got them all buckled up and ready to go...for the car not to start! How lame. Guess what Phil and I got for Valentines...a new battery. NOT FUN! So Brook saved the day and picked the three of us up to head to Kortni and Max's for the party. The kids all had fun eating Pizza and decorating cookies...as for Koen he just wanted to eat the candy...who cares about the decorating huh? Phil and I played it low key but did go out to dinner this past Monday by ourselves, kind of in celebration. (I saw kinda cause I am strictly stuck to celebrating on the dateÜ)

Best of Friends

Koen and Tess are the best of friends. Koen either says Tessy or Annie all day long and trys to go to one of their houses(literally opens the front door) I LOVE having Steve and Laura so close by! It has been so fun having them be here with us. We love them and Koen most definitely loves "Tessy"! These pics are from one of many of the "Koessa" play dates! Little cuties! And yes her arm really is around him...so cute!

Kids ALWAYS make it up to ya...

So I just wanted to give a shout out to my awesome kid! He is deff on the good/cute side today(over the monster side) it always seems like when they are out of control one minute(or day) the next they seem to be just great. At least that is Koen...maybe he is bi-polar!Ü Anyway in the last few days he has really started putting together words, it is amazing how something like that makes you feel so proud as a mom. It is really fun to hear him try to make things sound right. Also tonight we were singing songs and I was impressed to see that he knows like half the words and all the actions to all his favorite songs...Twinkle twinkle(my made up actions), Itsy Bitsy Spider, Two little Monkeys and Wheels on the bus. I guess today and the last few days he has definitely showed me the rewarding side of being a mom rather than the "What have I done?" Side. I love you Koen!

HELP...I've created a monster!!!

I now see why many women get pregnant with their 2nd(3rd, 4th etc)child around the time that the first is 1 year old. Get pregnant when the child is mostly good and easily managed, once the child turns into a little hellian it is too late because you are aready pregnant, no turning back. Otherwise you come to the situtation I am in...the hellian phase with a no more children outlook. Koen is completley out of control, so I am going to tell you a little about why and hope you have some help/input! He throws the worst fits known to woman(me) over the silliest things. Like for instance the last two nights have been a round of fits over scaling the changing table to touch the fan and stereo. Everytime I take him down and tell him no, he screams bloody murder and flails himself about. Like seriously is it really life or death to play with the fan/stereo. I think not. So I dont know whether I should ignore him, try to calm him, put him in time out...tell me tell me tell me!!! When he does it I totally feel at a loss. He has been doing it for about a week and a half minus when we were at Nate and Gina's.(not just about the fan about EVERYTHING)Yet he was excellent for our babysitter last night and Fine when we are out and about(mostly) He totally only does it for me at home. He is a monster. haha! Not really but I am beggining to wonder...Tonight after a terrible time putting him to bed I said to Phil "Doesn't Koens behavior make you NEVER want to have anymore kids?" and he said "No I want a kid muy bad" and I said "You already have a kid who is MUY bad!" haha! Is this what the next years of my life have in store? Please tell me no...Koen may be an only child.

Accesory OBSESSION!

My child is obsessed with accesories! Anytime he finds a hat, gloves or a necklace laying around he must put them on! Here are some favorite pics of his obsession. He loves to mostly put my hats on, because his actually fit they are harder to get on and usually only end up on half us his head. He loves to use bean bee as a hat, and IS TOTALLY ENTHRALLED with looking at himself(and kissinng himself) in the mirror! Was a silly kid! My VERY favorite one is the pic of him with the tan hat on backwards and the big cheese...what about yours?

Good News!

Wahoo! We have news. We finally heard back from IHC and will be heading back to Utah in September...for good! They didnt give us any dates yet, but between IHC and Jordan Valley he will be able to do all his rotations in Utah! YAHOO! Can you believe we will be moving home in 6 1/2 months! COOL! PS how ugly is that Utah thing?

Ode to "bean bee"

I thought I would let you all view our most important part of the family...bean bee. This is Koen's blanket. I will give a little beanbee background. I received this blanket at a shower and thought it an odd size as it was only about 12 inches square, and wondered what I would use it for. Who would have known it would be our most prized possesion. I really have no idea how it became that either. I do know that Koen started really loving this blanket when he started sucking him thumb at about 4 months old. We have tried to replace it with many others, but they were never liked in the slightest. I decided this past summer to buckle down and buy the EXACT same one(I had held off because it was a THIRTY dollar 12*12 blanket) So I went and bought it, and tried for the whole summer to get him to take to it. I washed them together made him sleep with it(all though every morning I found it outside the crib)Finally when we came back from UT for the summer I decided it wasnt worth it anymore and put it in a box for our next child to love! Ü

Here is the torn and tattered blanket of love! I figure once it completly falls apart it will have to be over and I hope the thumb sucking goes with it!

This day Koen thought it was really funny to wear beanbee as a hat. Silly kids.

Koen loves to chew on bean bee. Thus the sides are black and gross(even fresh from the wash) and it is falling apart. It also has a pleasent morning breath aroma!

We are lucky however, that we DONT take it everywhere. He isnt good about leaving it in his crib, so the first time he drops it I hide it. Then when he asks for it I tell him "beanbee is sleeping" And he is usually pretty good about that! Gotta love bean bee!

Pure Joy!

I love hearing Koen learn to talk. He learns new words all the time, and tries to say EVERYTHING!  He says "Kate" for his cousin. I am proud to report when I show him his picture book he can point out the following people: Kate, Issa, Nana, Grandpa, Libby, "Brita", and Brady(loves saying "bree-D"). He really loves pointing our Kate, "bibby"(libby/baby) and Brady. I think you two have a pretty big fan!

Just a little...Dance Dance

We had the Call's over yesterday. After dinner we decided to play a little dance dance! The kids had a lot of fun. Especially Koen and Annie even though the had no idea what they were doing. Annie kept jumping up and down and Koen was dancin all around. You have to love Phil and Matt's faces in their pics! They are classic, so into it!
This is pretty much what Lisa and I did the whole time, fun eh?

Olsen Happenings...

*Phil is headed off this weekend to the OTC state competition he is in. Then next month will head to San Diego, lucky duck!
*We should by the end of the month know all our plans as far as his rotations go for the last year of school. Like where we will be and when! YAHOO! I'll keep you posted!
*Koen and I are still in the swim and Gym classes at the Y. He LOVES swimming but it is scary cause he has NO fear. He will totally just walk of the side with no reguard. The gym class is also fun. He gets to run around with lots of kids and NEW toys!
*We did our tax returns yesterday and are proud to report we are getting around $600 back. It seems like not alot compared to our over $4000 last year but Phil reminded me we couldnt expect much when we only paid $1 in taxes! haha! Every little bit helps so we are excited!
*We have NO snow on the ground here and havent had any for like 2 weeks. It has been pretty warm and raining alot so it is all gone! So different than last year! I swear we had 2 feet for 3 months!
*Koen continues to talk up a storm. His new favorites are Pajamas(jamamamas) and apple sauce, which he says almost perfect. I swear he learns tons of new words everyday! SO FUN!
He is such a good boy and I swear everyday I am like "what did I do with out you?" He is so fun to be around, and really just so easy going! I love him!
*I have just been hanging out doing the usual. We have had some new girls move into our ward who I REALLY like which is fun. We have also been getting playgroup and girls night going again which is so great! It is crazy to know that in not too long we will be all done here and on our way back to Utah! Time flies. I am also almost done reading the Work and the Glory series! Which I have absolutley loved! If any one has any new book suggestions I am up to hear them!
*Random question for moms out there...Does anyone have a suggestion for sippy cups they love OTHER THAN Nuby? I have liked the Nuby ones, but Koen just bites on them and breaks holes in the spout, therefore they leak all over. Anybody know of ones that are good and fairly easy to suck out of? He is kinda lazy when it comes to that, hence the biting on the others.

10 years ago:
Wow LOVED junior high! Had my first boyfriend, first kiss, and met my BEST friends all in junior high! Stated cheering round about that time, which I LOVE LOVE LOVED! Good times! Good Times! I also got my braces on and off in junior high! Oh joy! Lets go E-J-H!! I always say if I could live a part of my life again it would be junior high! I loved it!

5 Things on my to do list:
1. Go to Tessa birthday party-check(just didnt quite make it on time) Ü HAPPY BIRTHDAY cute Tessy! Isnt she cute?!? (the pic is from chuck e cheese a couple weeks ago just wanted to give her a little shout out!)
2,3,4 & 5- Do whatever else I want all day long! Awe the life of a stay at home mom. Oh yeah and entertain Ko! Which is usually included in what ever else I want!

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
Go on a shopping spree. Buy a really nice car(charcoal Toyota Sequoia 2008, not picky or anything) that was realistic for a family(rather than the 2 door) Save the rest to buy a house when we graduate and to make it really safe, lots of alarms and lights! haha! Oh and I guess paying off the student loans would be a good idea!

3 of my bad habits:
Picking my face...deffinetly takes the cake! I could do it all day long!
Eating to many sweets, I do so well at eating healthy but only with a side of candy! Ü Love Love vanilla tootsie rolls!
Getting after Phil for dumb things! I'm trying here!

Jobs I have had:
Tios mexican restruant, Desert Sun Tanning Salon(FOREVER), America First Credit Union(Teller), and my most favorite Dental Select Underwriter.
I swear I still miss working there! (pics are some of my fav friends at Dental Select. I dont have a pic of you Danielle :( ) We did fun stuff there! Come on does everyone hunt for Easter eggs at work? We did!

Things people don't know about me:
I dont know!!! That I am a freak about strange men. I think everyone is following me/stalking me! I am always on the lookout and HATE getting those "beware" emails. they only freak me out!
I dont know what else!
