Fun Festive Weekend

Well I don't know if you can technically count Wednesday as the weekend, but that is when the fun started! Mindy and I took the kids over to feed the ducks. It was the perfect afternoon and I think the kids both enjoyed being outside. With the fence they have put up it was hard for K to throw the bread into the water so a ton of his was falling on the bank between the fence and the water. Soon enough some of the ducks figured out that he was dropping huge pieces there and started coming up. He loved this cause they were so close to him!

This was me in the search for a smile! I love seeing her go from bored to clapping and sticking out her tongue! SO CUTE!
My sis came up that night with her girls. On Thursday we headed down to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was such a blast! My friend Lisa was in town for it because her aunt and uncle like put the whole thing together, so she was able to get us some discount tickets! It was WELL worth my $5.
At first K wouldn't go down by himself. So I had to climb up there like 100 times! Pretty embarrassing, especially cause half the time I would make him go by himself down (so he would get use to it) but that left me looking like a huge nerd going down by myself too!
Finally he got the hang of it and Nae and I sat back while they kids went down over and over for an hour. It was kinda sad at first though because the bigger kids would be like all up on him trying to go around him, I was definitely that "mean mom" to those kids some times! Ü "Wait your turn" was a frequent from my mouth! haha
Nae taking her turn with the kiddos, before K was brave!
Us with the really tall man! He had to be so tired, he was on those things ALL DAY!
Cuties in the pumpkin patch!
Little pony ride, this was a hit!
K saw the train when we first walked in and insisted on going on it! Funny that he doesn't looked trilled about the ride!
Tractor hay ride
Miss Priss looking cute as always!

Seriously waited in line for 2 and a half hours to ride this. Whiters wanted to ride so bad she stayed in line almost the WHOLE time. I think they all thought it was worth it!
We got their faces painted right before we left. K wanted Elmo and this girl did it and it was SO hiteous. I wish we would have taken a picture. But I totally went and asked if I could have some else do it...am I ghetto? I needed my $3 worth! haha

It was such a fun day! The kids were SO good. I cant believe we stayed as long as we did. We went at 11 and stayed until 7. They had so much fun. It was so good to see Lisa and the kids. I am so annoyed we are lame and didn't even think to get a pic. I miss you already friend!

On Friday we went to Gardener Village to the Wee Witched Weekend. After Scarecrow festival it was pretty disappointing. There wasnt much for the kids to do, and the few things there were had HUGE lines and we had already done the day before. So we stayed for the costume parade, lunch and a pic with a witch.

I love that Libs is like...."um who is that lady?"
We told the kids since we didn't really get to do anything fun we would take them to the mall and let them ride some rides there. How many kids can you fit in the ice cream truck?
To finish off the weekend with a bam, we all got the stomach flu! Me, Nae, Phil, K, my dad, and Libs. I am also getting ANOTHER cold sore...what the? I guess you can only have so much fun huh?

I totally got a kick out of the slide thing because we have to do the exact same thing with Summer. I always feel so dumb! Also, I know how the mean mom thing goes! I'm a really mean mom - at the park and especially at the pool when the big kids push Summer around. I get so mad at them, and yes...I get after other peoples kids:) Sounds like a fun weekend! Sorry it had to end with getting sick - that's always a bummer.

I can't believe you spent 8 hours at the scarecrow festival. It MUST have been fun.

Hey Letto, I'm still in Utah and would LOVE to see you. You mentioned an Oakcrest lunch-that would be fabulous. The only problem is that I don't really keep in touch with anyone and no one ever responds to my comments on the website. Do you mind putting a note out for everyone. My schedule is flexible until next monday-then I go home. Let me know. Can't wait!!

That all looked so fun! Sad that we are missing out on the fun fall activities out there.
Oh and tell your sis that she makes the rest of us (or just me) look bad by always having her girls hair done so cute ALL the time! haha!

Okay I'm a dork... I posted my comment twice and then deleted both of them. Oops! You are such a cute mom! It looks like you had such a fun weekend! I would love to get together while I'm off track. Since I pretty much have nothing going on, let me know when you are available!

I loved seeing your pics of the house. I have waiting for a shot of your kitchen table, so thanks for appeasing my curiosity. The house is lovely. It was so great to see you at Scarecrow...I also loved proof of Whitley finally getting on the tramp. Good girl, Whit!

Love ya.

So fun! I'm so gald to see you and Nae getting together and playing!! It sucks to live in different states as your sisters. I know. Glad you had such a good, festive weekend. I love Halloween activities! We had the same flu in our fam. It was miserable.
