A SPOOKtacular October!

October is one of my favorite months because of all the fun stuff their is to do with the kids and as a family. We tried to take advantage of a few.

CORNBELLYS
Phil, the kids and I headed down to cornbellys on K Bull 93 day so it was a bit more affordable. :) We met up with my sis and her kids. It was BLAZZING! Which quite honestly put a damper on my idea of fall festivities. We bounced on these huge balloon things, while playing ring around the rosies, Koen got picked to race a pig, B enjoyed having Whitters tote him around (most of the time) and we loved the slides (even me.)  Def a fun place to take the kids for an outing.

GARDNER VILLAGE
We went with the Browns to Gardner Village to see all the witches. The kids got their eyes painted and rode the ponies. I took my kids into the petting zoo where I had to shoo a goat off from mounting my stroller! YIKES! It was also a little too hot, but fun for a family outing.

HALLOWEEN BUNCO
Gotta take every opportunity to dress up! Bunco Halloween style was so fun!

PUMPKIN PATCH
We went to dinner at our favorite family restaurant, Rock Creek Pizza with the Brown's then headed to pick out our pumpkins at a little patch not far from our house. Ko loved picking them out and Brigs just wanted to run, AND FALL, up and down the rows. Phil was set on finding us perfect pumpkins and he did...too bad we never got a chance to carve them and now they have turned into fall pumpkins, still on my porch.

Koen did get some Spiderman pieces for his pumpkin, he thought it was SUPER fabulous!

ACTIVITY DAYS
My calling at church is an Activity Days leader. We put together a fun Halloween activity for the girls and their families. It turned out great and was fun for my little family to come. Of course, Koen's new Zhu Zhu pet needed to be in the picture. :)

HAUNTED HOUSE
My mom's good friend is intense when it comes to holidays. Her whole house was decked out inside and outside. She writes a little poem that takes you trick or treating all around her house and then they have dinner. It was so fun. They kids loved it. Koen loved all the Disney stuff (they are Disney freaks, like they gave us a Mickey Mouse cutting board for our wedding) and Brigs was obsessed with this Sultan. LOL

OLSEN PARTY
Phil's grandparents Halloween parties is one of my favorites. We did it at our clubhouse this year and it was perfect. I love seeing everyones awesome costumes and eating Grandma's yummy jam on bread and tortilla soup! SO GOOD!

PRESCHOOL PARTY
I took the kids to school this day and when Tessa came out I immediately thought "oh Steve and Laura are gonna need to worry when she's a teenager" doesn't she looks so fab? Anywho I volunteered in Koen's class for the party where they played fun games. I love his school, and so does he.

AUNT BRITTON WORK (friday)
Britton invited us to her work to trick or treat. It was lots of fun, warm and the boys got tons of candy. I kept telling Koen " Oh get that twix for Brigs those are his favorite" because they are mine and if I am gonna have that much candy it may as well be something I like. :) Thanks Burt!

TRUNK OR TREAT(friday)
This event I took the kids to solo since Phil worked all of Halloween weekend. They had some activities and a trunk or treat which I obviously didn't participate in since I didn't think it would be feasible to pass out treats from my trunk and take my kids around. It ended up being fabulous because after we went around we left, didn't have to wait till everyone was done. My kids where over costumes and candy at this point since we had gotten home from Britton's work about 10 minutes before this started.

ACTUAL HALLOWEEN DAY
Koen had his first soccer game which is a story in and of itself. And then we went down to Phil's work to trick or  treat there and so they boys could see their dad on Halloween. When we got home we ate dinner and I was surprised we had had no trick or treaters by 6:30 ish. Then we got our first one, in the rain. Koen decided we must do that. So we did. I decided our side of the neighborhood is the perfect size for little kids. You can do it all.  Fun stuff. Plus we sorted out all the candy we already had and kept only our favorites and passed out the rest, PERFECT.
And Monday morning I ripper down all decorations.  Love it while its here, by the time its over I am not sad.

I think I know one of the girls in your Bunco. The girl on the far left, what is her name?
