10 year anni trip!!! Southern Caribbean part 1

Phil and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary in October and our best friends Steve and Laura celebrated theirs in August. We decided we needed to do something fun for our big anniversaries so we planned a cruise to the southern Caribbean. Fun for us that our other BF's came along too. We ended up with 5 couples!

On Friday Sept 5th we dropped the rugrats off at my parents who were in for a fun filled week of 3 kids! They are saints! lol We were off to the airport for a red eye flight to Puerto Rico.

Saturday

Lucky for Phil and I we were flying separate from the rest of the peeps because they got delayed 5 hours in the middle of the night! haha At midnight Phil and I were off for Puerto Rico! We got there at about 11:30 AM, changed, and headed out for lunch and the beach. We had a great afternoon swimming and hanging out just the two of us.

Around 4ish the rest of our party arrived and we got ready to head to the bioluminscent tour.

We got to the bioluminscent bay at dusk and outfitted up to go kayak through the man groves out to the bay.

The kayaking in the dark was really cool, minus the fact that I was getting EATEN alive. I hardly ever get bug bites but nursing attacks them, I swear! I thought the bioluminescence would be cooler than it was, but it was neat how the water lite up when you paddled in it. I really wanted to hop out and swim in it! :(

Sunday
We headed to the ship with all our bags and checked in just before noon. We got on, ate and then headed out to explore old San Juan. We shopped around and played in a rainstorm. We had intentions of heading to the beach but after the rain came we never got there.

We got on the ship in time to get ready and hit dinner in the main dining room.
Monday
We arrived in St Thomas at 8 am. Phil, Brook, Aaron, and I went scuba diving and Steve came along with us and snorkeled. We were able to do 2 dives. The second one was a ship wreck called Navy Barges, We were able to do cool swim throughs and even had a fellow diver take some pics of us.

 When we got back we headed over to Magen's Bay. It was a beautiful bay with amazing water, no waves and very uncrowded. We thought the rest of our group was there but they had ended up going somewhere else and we didn't know!

It was so nice to have so much time in each place. We didn't have to board the ship until 5ish every night. So, we basically got back on, maybe had a snack, watch the boat sail away and then went and got ready for the evening.
