ANYWAY, after we ate there we rushed home to have the sisters come over. I don't think I mentioned that the sisters have been teaching a girl in Phil's class, Jenn, the discussions at our house for the last few months. It has been so awesome to be in on all the discussions, and her amazing questions and simple faith. She actually sought Phil out to ask him about the church. (EVERYONE at school knows Phil is LDS, which is GREAT) Soon after they started teaching her at our home 1-2 times a week. Jen recently decided she wanted to be baptized, and so Friday they came over to teach her a few more things about baptism and have Phil help her feel at ease with how it would actually happen. I thought it was really special she wanted Phil to both Baptize and Confirm her. She is such an amazing person. She comes from Jewish background, but within the last few years had converted to be a Christian. She has a great understanding of the bible, and was seriously a GOLDEN investigator. It was like everything they told her fit in to place and made sense. It was amazing!
Saturday was Jenn's baptism. What a great experience. It was neat to be there through the whole process of someones conversion to baptism. Phil did a great job baptizing and confirming her! Good Job Phil! Special me, got to say the prayer! Jenn must have known I hate giving talks! Ü

Saturday night was Phil's Rho Chi(honor society) ceremony. So we had to get all dressed up, which is definitely fun for me. It was held at the conference center at the Marriott. They feed us dinner, which was surprisingly very good and then did a ceremony initiating all the new members. It was special. Phil is such a amazing guy, he does such a good job of juggling school, family, and church and still manages to excel at all of them! He is a great example to me and we are SO proud of him! Yah Phil! Thank you thank you Brook for watching Koen while we went. I know he enjoyed playing with Casen and Jace a lot more than having a babysitter.

This is really the only good picture. It is everyone on Rho Chi for the classes of 2008 and 2009. The lighting was terrible for picture taking in there so all the ones of him walking up and such just aren't that great.

The proud wife and the smarty pants husband!

Wow that is a crazy week. You handled it so well (didnt seem stressed at all).
We loved having Koen. Casen thinks they are now best buds!! (He just doesnt understand why he wont carry on conversations with him. HaHa).
Hooray!!! I finally got in to see your blog. Obviously I'm a bit daft when it comes to the whole blogging thing, but I'm catching on! :)Anyway, loved your post and congrats to Phil! By the way, you're hair is getting soooo long! It makes me want to grow mine back! :)
Yay for Phil!!! I am amazed at how you do it; juggling family, school, church and everything else in between! YOu are an amazing man and someone I look up to very much! Good post Lesh, sounds hectic, but at least you 2 got to have a fun night out together where you got to dress up, eat good food and be the very proud wife!!
Totally cute new background, good choice!!
Ditto on the cute background - it looks great! What a REWARDING week, although VERY busy. A baptism.....how exciting! What an honor, Phil, that she asked you to be a part of it. What a great experience for you and Alesha. And kudos to you on Honor Society....you ARE a "little smartypants"! Ü
Aaron and I are so jealous you're in the field! What an awesome experience. We remember those days on the mission! Luckily, we do have a lot of inactive people in our neighborhood so hopefully we'll see them out at church.
Congrats Phil!! GEEK!
You are an inspiration to me... My ward does nothing as young stay at home moms to I am starting a play group. it shall be interesting because I really don't know that many people being in Primary. Great job Phil and you too Lesh. I know how much work it is to support a hubby.
A full week, a full life, all the most important things possible: family, school achivements, church-FANTASTIC. I loved it! We love you.
Um cute background! It makes it feel like spring at my office!
Wow, so many great things. Good job to the both of you. The picture of the two of you is really cute!
Love your new layout Sha. Cute and so springy!
So so so awesome to be involved in a new member conversion. That is such a great experiance for you guys.
Also, tell Phil congrats Mr."Smarty pants"!
Ya, wouldn't it be nice if you could skip the newborn phase, still get a good nights rest and have a one year old as your newborn! ha ha I however would not like to deliver a one year old! You look super cute in your black dress and gray leggings. Don't you love getting dressed up!
P.S. that is awesome that Phil baptised that girl. What an awesome experience! You guys are cute.
Great post Sha, I knew you must be busy because I could never get a hold of you. Good job Phil you are a "smarty pants" as well as a great missionary. What a wonderful experience for both of you. Cute pic of the two of you. Alesha you look like your 12
Hey, Congrats on it all!! How cool. You guys look so cute together, makes me want to buy leggings....
Haa Haa, Thanks for the comments, I love them. It is so fun to read, and I look forward to it everyday!! How old was Koen when you let him cry it out? We are struggling because he doesn't want to go to bed til 10:30 or 11:00. But I want him in bed at 8. I've read so many different things, but 4 months seems to be the consistent answer for scheduling a bedtime.
Wow, what a coincidence! 4 months seems to be it. He wakes up around 7:30-8:30, andthen he has a good morning nap for about 3 hrs.
wow! that was a busy week! You and Phil are such a cute couple!
CC
What a great experience!
Way to go Phil and Alesha. You guys are awesome! I don't know how you do it all!
