Thursday July 7th

Today we packed up to head to Strawberry Pinnacles for the Olsen Family Reunion. We decided to take the boys with us to the hospital on the way. I told Phil I didn't want them interfering with my time with Pierce....(a 2 year old in a hospital is a HUGE limiting factor) He promised he would be fully in charge of them so I could have my time with baby. As much as I wish it wasn't, time is an even HUGER limiting factor here.
My mom, sister and sister in law headed up at the same time which turned out to be great for the children. The Music Therapist stopped by to chat with us. We had meet her at one of the parent lunch in's and Phil knew that was something he wanted Pierce to enjoy in his last days here. She has an amazing voice and with a "prescription" will come and sing to your baby.
She had told us that she would be happy to help us write a lullaby for Pierce. She asked Phil, Koen and me some questions about Pierce which she will use to write his lullaby. She had told us about how your baby likes what ever kind of music you listen to, because that is what they have heard. I was like "so your telling me my baby likes Katy Perry and Kesha?" haha YEP! She sang him a few songs the first one being Katy Perry's Firework in Lullaby format. She incorporated pierce's name and I was a sobbing mess. She also sang him a few primary songs and encouraged us to sing with her, I think I managed about 5 words total. It was such a great experience. I was beyond emotional, but is was so special because Pierce was WIDE awake and so content through out all her songs.
