Pierce's Lullaby

Pierce the Fierce

Pierce how we love you, we wish you could stay
to be with your brothers to grow and to play

We know you're a fighter, as we look in your eyes
your sweet and courageous, you've touched all our lives

We'll miss you but know that you're free from the pain
and Jesus will hold you, till we meet again

We'll love you forever, so come what may
We'll all be together as a family one day

Thank you thank you to the amazing music therapist who wrote this for Pierce and for us. Koen loves it and listens to it on repeat every night to go to bed. I love singing it to Brigs before bed too. We love you Pierce!

On a side note I had a small melt down at church today when I realized we likely would have been blessing Pierce today had all things gone as planned. I couldn't hold the tear flow back as we sang "happy are we, happy are we" I kept thinking "no, not really...I am not so happy." I thought I might have to run out or something, but luckily I pulled it together during the prayer.

I thought of you throughout sacrament today. But especially when the baby was blessed and when we sang that song. I thought the same exact things.

I'm so sorry, that would be such a hard thing to face, and to keep it together...we still pray for you and your sweet family, and hope things get a little easier each day.

It is so amazing when others use their talents to bless us. I bet it is especially beautiful with the music accompaniment.

Your boy is so handsome. On Sunday, my girls and I were watching mormon messages, and we watched "good things to come." by Jeffery R. Holland. A couple months ago it helped me through a personally challenging time. I thought of you as we watched it Sunday. Love you so much.

Beautiful words and what a great reminder of such a sweet little spirit. So cute that Koen is so aware of everything that has happened. At this age it's hard to know if they will remember things like this.
