Ragnar *Del Sol* Battle of the Sixes

Way back before Myla was born a friend asked if Phil and I were interested in doing Ragnar Del Sol! Of course I am always interested however I was 8 months prego and unsure of our future. After things settled with Myla she asked again. Phil wasn't super down and so I decided I wouldn't worry about it either. As it got closer a couple of my neighbors were training and I was feeling some serious race envy! I wanted to go!

Lucky for me, someone dropped out 2 weeks before race day(s)! And I have a most fabulous friend who was willing to go along for the ride and watch my baby! SCORE! So Stacie, her 8 year old, 1 year old and Me and Miss Myla were off to Phoenix! Surprisingly the ride was much much better than we anticipated- remember some little baby hates the car? She only cried from St George to Vegas. On the way home she barley cried at all- 10 minutes total! Thank my lucky stars!!! We for sure had to stop at the Cedar McDonalds to let the kids out to play. Hello, we need that McDonalds here! Sweet play place! And so funny that I ran into my aunt there!

The run was fabulous because our friend Brooke's house was right in the middle of the race. We went there between every leg and I was able to be with Myla for a lot of it. And when I wasn't she had the best babysitter in town, Stacie! Brooke was a great hostess and willingly let us all crash at her house the whole time!

My 3 legs were as follows:

1- 7.8 miles that looked fabulous and flat on the map...who knew the second half would be total sand with rolling hills! Not fun! And it was 2 PM and blazing. It was for sure one of my less favorite runs, but it is over. :) 9:35 pace
2- 2.6 easy miles...at 3:15 AM! It was on a cute little trail....cute if it was lite!! Instead it was super creepy so I tried to run fast! Also I didn't want a havalina to attack me! EEEK! 8:09 pace

3-This just has to be seen to know...
I wasn't sure what to expect because sooo many of our maps were totally off but this was spot on, and I LOVED IT! I'm totally ok with some serious uphills when you get awesome downhill rewards! By far one of my most favorite runs ever! 3.58 miles 8:53 pace

We met up with Stacie and all the kids at the finish line! We actually totally missed Beth run through so we reenacted it for the girls who lovingly made us signs! :)

All in a couple days work! :) Sunday morning we were off on our journey back home. To all that were a part of this one...it was fun, lets do it again!
