We headed out on Thursday the 11th in the evening. We got into Orlando late (11:30) and picked up our rental car, picked up a bite to eat, headed to the hotel and hit the sack.
2 flights in one month?? Crazy kid.
Phil was so excited about this car. Not lying though, we all loved it.
Friday morning we got up and headed to the end of the breakfast. Then we were off to one of our most FAVORITE places....Wet n Wild! We went a few years ago with some friends and had the best time. We wanted to go last year when we flew into Orlando for our cruise but didn't plan ahead. This time we knew it was a must, especially with Koen. It was perfect weather and off season so NOT crowded.
Key points:
-we had one major meltdown (late late night + early morning = rough)
-Phil saved us $75 by getting us in half price with my SLCC student ID! Good thing I am forever a student! haha
-Koen went on Storm. It is crazy and scary for me, let alone my 6 year old. Good thing he is a better swimmer than me! haha Not only is it SUPER fast, but there is mist everywhere so you can't see and are so disoriented.
-I think all of our favorite was still the black hole! There are seriously so many fun ones though!
-We saw so many places driving there that I want to go to. I need a good month in Orlando! :)
-Phil LOVED driving this car!
For dinner we went to Cheesecake Factory! We love that place and for some reason rarely go at home. Cheesecake is my favorite. Generally it isn't that good on cruises so I wanted to get my fix early! ;)
This was Phil's self pic cause he didn't have any cheesecake and because he said so far he was along as Koen and my's photographer! haha
We took the LONG way home because I may or may not have mis-read the GPS. :/ I also may or may not had a severe panic attack when we went through a toll that required exact change and didn't have it. Sound familiar Lynds? The drive ended up being ok though cause we enjoyed the top down screamin out money ain't a thing! (as we went through like 10 tolls LOL) After we returned our car to the airport and rode the shuttle back to the hotel we met up with our fellow cruisers! YAHOO! So excited.
