Happy 2nd Birthday in Heaven

My main goal in celebrating Pierce's birthday is to spend it with my family. I want this day to ALWAYS be a special day that we all try to be together, even when my kids are old. I want to celebrate him and his part in our family every year on his birthday! We have thought it would be fun each year to do something that he would like to do. This year we had decided to go to Cowabunga Bay, a waterpark. However woke up to a pretty windy day. The kids were so bummed because they had been looking forward to it but we really didn't want to freeze.

First we went to the bike parade around the neighborhood. It was so sweet tons of people there were wearing their Pierce shirts if they had one or blue. I have the best neighborhood, seriously. So sweet to know that they all remember and care. Brigs had to make the switch to the 4 wheeler shortly after we got there, silly boy.

Then we went to Kneaders to breakfast with our friends. We went there last year on his birthday too. It is rare to go to breakfast as a family and both our kid love the french toast. It so yummy!
Then we decided to hit the new movie Epic since it was still pretty windy a cold. The Wrights, Laura and Kids, and Ky and Jenn came with us. It was cute.

When the movie was over we headed over to the cemetery for a little birthday party. I had a hard time with who to invite. I didn't want people to feel obligated to come, or drive far to be there, but I also don't want anyone to feel bad. I would love to have anyone who wanted to be there, be there, but it's hard to know who. If you would wanna come, you just let me know, I'd love to have you. :) We had a small crowd of a little family and close friends and it was wonderful.

I was a great day. Really? Did I really just say that? YEP! I did, and it feels so good to be able to say that. I cried a few times, mostly knowing how much people care. I felt like that day was spent remembering him and thinking about him and it was really happier than I could have imagined. :)
